Ambassador Committee
Business leaders serve as respresentatives of GreaterFindlayInc. at official functions such as grand openings, ribbon cuttings, Outstanding Customer Service Award, and ground breaking ceremonies. Its a great opportunity for businesses to get their foot in the door. Over 50+ ceremonies are performend annually.
Agri-Business Committee
To ensure the heritage of Hancock County, agricultural leaders take part in planning the annual Farmers Share Breakfast; Farmers Market; Sausage Sale; and provide scholarships to graduating Greater Findlay seniors who are pursuing a career in an ag-related field.
Hancock County Safety Council
co-sponsored by the Bureau of Workers Compensation
The Hancock County Safety Council is partially funded through the Ohio Department of Safety and Hygiene and holds regular meetings to increase awareness of a safe environment in the workplace. The Council meets the first Thursday of each month at Owens Community College - Findlay Campus from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Cost to attend is $18 and includes lunch.

The Center for Entrepreneurship
Maintain and expand the service offerings of GFI to provide management assistance to start-up and existing small business in any area of need.
Finance & Incentives
Identifies opportunities, ways and means of financing economic development deals brought by the Economic Development Council, including but not limited to traditional and non-traditional deal structure; angel and venture capital; public and private sources of funding as well as bonds, synthetic leasing and others identified and suggested as part of the deal-making process. In short, examine all existing tools available for development and eliminate those no longer needed.
Promotions/Marketing/Communications
Identify, create, fundraise as necessary and implement a range of marketing, public relations and promotions collateral to advance the image of the community, the interests of GFI and collaborations between existing organizations that yield a specific and identifiable benefit to the community’s development effort(s).
Red Carpet Task Force
Cultivate, qualify and manage direct interface with both suspects and prospects for development investment in the Findlay and Hancock County region geared specifically toward industrial, technology-based and emerging market enterprises that will add to the economic base and quality of life element(s) of the community. In other words, serve as the official “welcoming” arm of GFI conducting outreach to qualified prospects, and attend trade shows relative to our development pursuits.
Special Projects / Events
To provide a meaningful forum by which constituents of GFI and regional development community can interact, including but not limited to the annual GFI Field Day, the GFI-sponsored Japanese/American Golf outing, prospective hosting of VIP’s, clients and dignitaries visiting the community with substantial development interests and other venues as needed. Will also conduct bi-annual CEO Update Breakfast, securing and confirming speakers.
International Relations Committee
Create an on-going focus in the international arena, providing support to GFI staff related to the evaluation of foreign trade missions, reverse investment opportunities and local international business relationships. May work in concert with Special Events Committee and others as appropriate.
Sites and Infrastructure Committee
Develop job-ready sites through the examination of available ground in the area to provide product for interested companies seeking a location.
